When you want to buy a watch, going Pre-Owned is a great idea since you have access to some amazing watches that you can’t just find anywhere else. The interesting thing is that from time to time, you will find some really rare watches that are worth a fortune. Here are some of the rarest pre-owned watches!
VACHERON CONSTANTIN CHRONOMETRE ROYAL REF. 4907
The Vacheron Constantin Chronometre Royal Ref. 4907 is a special one, it sold well over $100k at an auction and it’s a very limited number model. That, on top with the amazing style and quality as well as the brand history does make it stand out quite a bit. It’s an exceptional watch that truly impresses everyone.
BAO DAI ROLEX REF. 6062
You just can’t find this type of watch everywhere, it was made as a request for the last emperor of Vietnam and it’s known for being one of the most precious models out there. In addition, it sold for over $4.3 million last time, so yes, it’s a very delicate and expensive piece.
PATEK PHILIPPE REF. 1518 IN STEEL
There are many things to like here, with the fact that this model is decades old and it has a very distinctive look when compared to the other models is amazing in its own right. Not only that, but it’s the first perpetual calendar chronograph ever created. It all translates into a massive value, hence the reason why the last time the Patek Philippe Ref. 1518 In Steel sold, it was $11 million.
ROLEX 4133 ‘SPLIT-SECONDS’
It’s a very interesting watch for sure, and it comes in a very limited run. There were only 12 Rolex 4133 ‘Split-Seconds’ made, and the look itself is spectacular. It sold for $1.1 million or so at an auction in 2011, but the value right now would be much larger.
That’s the thing, when you think about pre-owned watches, you don’t think they might end up costing a fortune. Many watches have a great history and even if someone did own them beforehand, many of these models are seen as collectibles. A lot of collectors end up buying these and even if you don’t want to collect a luxury model, there are many other and less expensive models to think about. It’s an amazing opportunity to own a great watch, even if it’s pre-owned!
